Previews stay judgeable for 72 hours after the render. If you don't keep or kill within that window, the take is released automatically: the full hold returns to your balance, and the preview is gone.
The catch: an expiry spends a kill from your monthly allowance, exactly like an intentional kill — but without you getting the look-and-decide value. It never gives one back.
So the habit that pays: judge takes the same day you make them. Keep the winner, kill the rest, and your allowance goes toward decisions instead of neglect.
If a preview expired and you wanted that take: re-render with the same prompt and model. Seeds vary, so it won't be pixel-identical — this is also why judging within the window matters.
