Upgrading applies immediately — the new plan's Credits and kill allowance land right away.
Downgrading or cancelling stops the renewal at the end of your current period. Until then, nothing changes: your balance stays live, renders keep working, your kill allowance stands.
After a cancellation takes effect you lapse to Free — and everything you kept remains yours, commercial use included. Top-up Credits survive the change; only the plan's own monthly Credits expire.

From 17 September 2026, new subscriptions and renewals have fixed kill allowances: Plus 2, Pro 10, Ultra 25. Buying more credits does not add kills. Current subscribers keep their existing allowance until renewal or a new plan purchase. Cancel auto-renewal before your next payment at Billing & Credits. Free asset generation is temporarily paused.
If a renewal payment fails, generations pause until it goes through, including the images your plan includes for free. Update your payment method from Billing & Credits (the message in the studio has the same button) and we charge the renewal right away; everything comes back as soon as it is paid. Your library stays as it is. If you would rather not continue, end the plan from the same place and you move to Free.
Yearly plans. You can move up to a bigger yearly plan, or more Credits, at any time: the months your current year has not delivered yet come off the new year's price at checkout, and the Credits you already have keep their own expiry. Switching from yearly to monthly billing happens when your year ends. Turning renewal off keeps your plan, with its monthly Credits, until the end of the paid year; we email you a month before a yearly plan renews. Within 14 days of buying a yearly plan, if you have not used its Credits, contact us for a full refund; after that, a year is not refunded in part.
